(November 9, 2017) Incumbent State Senator Barbara A. Robinson, D- 40th District expressed her disappointment in the continuous escalation of homicide rates for Baltimore City. As she kicks off her bid for Re-Election today, homicides in the city have exceeded over the 300 mark for several consecutive years now baffling police, elected officials and voters alike. State Senator Barbara A. Robinson has taken a common sense approach to the problem by launching Operation Be Safe on Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.at the Waxter Center For Senior Citizens located at 100 Cathedral Street in Baltimore.
“Crime and the fear of crime create a sense of anxiety for everyone especially our seniors. Crime prevention is the responsibility of everyone and not just law enforcement and public safety officials,” said Senator Robinson. “We all need to learn to protect ourselves from crime by following a few simple common sense suggestions.
